Fuck titles, I'm lazy
The strong smell of damp earth surrounded me, and I cursed under my breath every time my foot hit a mud puddle and sunk in. Leaning against a tree, I pushed my hair away from my face, cooling the light sweat. I clicked my tongue, frowning at the lack of distinction. "Stupid forest," I grumbled, "it's all to similar."
I continued walking, feeling my way around trees, mentally cursing. Of all the places to end up, of all the towns I'd been told were in this area, I ended up in the one God damn forest. Stumbling over something, a root probably, I fell to the ground. I sat up, freeing my foot and leaning back against a tree.

I stood on my toes, peering at mom from the foot of the hospital bed. She looked awful, and her somewhat desperate gasps for air set a sad mood in the whole room. Hospitals in general were sad, everyone looked sickly or scared. Justin had offered to stand out in the hall with me, but I refused. In the hall, I could hear families crying.
Mom turned to me, smiling weakly. "Hey bambina," she said, beckoning me forward. I sat next to her on the bed, and she gently laid her hand on mine. Her touch was so cold, I was tempted to pull back, but resisted. "Y'know, you're going to have to be the lady of the house," she rasped, "keep your dad and yo
I'd apparently been staying in the motel, and the guy at the desk was nice enough to not question me when I asked for my room number and a spare key. The room was nicer than I'd anticipated, not five star, but not horror movie like either. I collapsed on the bed, falling asleep within seconds.
The usual nightmare plagued me, being chased by that creepy monster. This time though, I tripped over something. I looked back, seeing a corpse, I get up and try to keep running, but the corpse grabs my ankle. When I look back again, it's Melody's corpse. That doesn't stop me from kicking away and running. The farther from her I get, the more corpses
In the morning, I was woken to have my temperature and blood pressure taken, then given the antidepressants. We were sent to breakfast, which was shitty oatmeal. A nurse took off the mask so I could eat, putting it on again once I finished. Then came one of my least favorite parts of the day: therapy. The worst part was that it wasn't just one session, but multiple a day.
The first session wasn't pleasant, as I was still rather pissed at Ginny prying. She apologized, but I refused to talk for the first half. After warning to send me to the quiet room, I started talking. Therapy had its ok moments, when Ginny didn't pry, I told her about thi
"What's your name?" My eyes wandered up to meet the girls, she had wild brown hair, and her ocean colored eyes were still bright. I looked back at my book, somewhat in bitterness. She still had her spark, as I'd taken to calling it. Some patients arrived with a sort of light in their eyes, showing their bit of joy they had left. As time went on, that light dulled, and they shuffled around the hospital with no particular goal. It was a rather disturbing sight.
This girl was definitely new and didn't seem suicidal, so it wouldn't kill her to be ignored. She apparently disagreed, because she pushed my book down, and leaned over the table to l
I slowly pushed myself off the ground, relieved an disgusted when I realized the blood wasn't mine. After looking around, I noticed a sheet of paper by my hand. I lifted it up, the same symbol that had been carved into my shoulder, was crudely drawn on the paper, along with the words 'always watching'. I crumpled it up and threw it into the forest.
As my hazy thoughts cleared, I stumbled to my feet, cursing quietly. I leaned against a tree, clutching my forehead. My whole body throbbed with a dull pain, and I was starving. How long had I been unconscious?
I looked back at where I'd been laying, and noticed a man not to far from where I'd
